Specialist in System Configuration

The System Configuration Specialist will be a key member of our team to configure, troubleshoot and maintain all mission critical systems. The individual works in conjunction with project teams and installation resources to ensure programming and configuration requirements are delivered within the project schedule. Act as the first line of defense in troubleshooting service requests to remotely diagnose, correct or determine the requirement for the deployment of a service.

Some of the main responsibilities for this role are but not limited to:

  •  Configure Video Management Systems such as: Milestone, Genetec, Bosch, etc.
  • Configure Access Systems such as: Gallagher, Genetec, Bosch, ICT, Kantech, etc.
  • Configure Alarm Systems such as: Gallagher, Genetec, Bosch, ICT, DSC, etc.
  • Follow-up with customers to validate and adjust initial programming as needed
  • Configure VLANs at the customer's site
  • Configure network components such as customer WIFI terminals
  • Actively participate in the research of solutions to improve processes
  • Act as an escalation point after-hours for critical troubleshooting requirements.

  • Keep records update in CRM and commissioning
  • Support to the Installer and/or service technician on the road
  • Installation and pre-configuration in the office lab
  • Advise as to next steps in corrective action when remote fixes do not correct system functionality, including but not limited to patch applications, software upgrades, and/or onsite service requirements

Most of the work will be in the greater Montreal area and in Quebec, but for those interested, they may be required to work elsewhere in Canada on special projects. The successful candidate will be passionate about the security industry and will be able to :

  • Ensure proper documentation in internal systems;
  • May travel throughout the territory covered;
  • Respect the deadlines and budget for the installation;
  • Respect the standards and protocols of the customer service policy;
  • Respect the rules of construction sites and health and safety standards.
